1 John 4:10

THIS IS LOVE: not that we loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the sacrifice for our sins.

Here’s the Good News according to this passage …

  • The Problem

    OUR SINFUL REBELLION

    Our sin, which is our rejection of God’s will and our rebellion against God’s authority, has separated us from God’s good presence, brought deep brokenness into life and demands our deaths.

  • The Solution

    JESUS’ SACRIFICIAL DEATH

    God sent His Son Jesus Christ to die in our place for our sins. Through Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross and His resurrection to new life our sins can be forgiven, our relationship with God can be restored and our lives can be made whole again.

  • The Motivation

    GOD’S PASSIONATE LOVE

    God sent His Son to save our lives because He loves us. It’s not that we are so lovable, but that He is so loving. What amazing love! Before we even thought of loving God, He has passionately loved us by sending His Son to die for us.

  • The Response

    OUR HUMBLE FAITH

    How can you receive this amazing love? You turn from your sin and trust in Jesus Christ. You humble yourself by repenting of your sin and believing the Good News. What stops you from do that right now? Receive God’s forgiveness, love and life!

God, I am sorry for my sin. I have rebelled against Your authority and have lived for myself instead of You. Please forgive me.

Thank you for the gift of Jesus’ death on the cross for my sin and His resurrection to new life. I believe in Jesus and receive Your forgiveness, love and life. I commit myself to follow Jesus’ leadership. Help me to live for You now. Amen.
